The river valley is home to a diversity of wildlife which includes snakes and lizards, as well as this guy who seems to be a little of both. This photo of a glass snake was taken near Ft. Chaffee, but the glass snake is not a snake at all; it is a legless lizard because they have movable eyelids and external ear openings that makes them lizards and not snakes.
